Early Christmas Celebration

Christmas is near !
My friends decided to make an early celebration
so that we can celebrate together

All of us gather at Thomas house that night
everyone is so happy and excited about it

Hats and Pressie were brought
and we got the feeling, that tonight is gonna be a great night!

Our home made dinner is served

it's our first time celebrating Christmas together

Hadyai in December

One week before Christmas
me and my gang had a short trip to Thailand
There were total 6 of us
and we depart by van at 9am morning

Unexpectedly, we reach the hotel is around 3pm
we suppose to reach about 4 hours time
but I dunno why the whole city is so pack
maybe is because of the holiday season

Once we check in the room
our first destination is to Tesco Lotus
yes, you don't get it wrong
it's TESCO hypermarket!

It is our first time there
but we managed to spend hours inside the hypermarket
and we end up coming out with a full trolley of food
^^

Next station would be the floating market
we reach there late, it's about 6pm already

The sky is getting dark
but the crowd is still remain
people were busying buying food to eat
not only foreigners like us, the locals also came here too

After the floating market, we went to Ped Tai night market
the most happening place for ladies
and it's only available for weekends

What is all about this night market?
I can say, CLOTHES & FOOD !
it's my first try for the food below
can you guess what is that actually?
I really don't eat these, but when I tried on it
it actually taste good, but with high cholesterol

let me reveal it right now
Fried Squid Egg!

We did not shop much that night
might be all of us already tired and we reached late too
but we did take away some dried tomyam noodles
for supper !

As a reminder, there were 6 of us
but I still think it's a little too much for us to bring home too
I can say 90% of them is FOOD

Tight sleep for that night because everyone was tired
and also the help of some alcohol

For the next morning
we wake early for breakfast at the hotel cafeteria
because we need to go to the morning market
to get more food back home
=)

We depart home at 1.30pm
arrived about 7pm in the evening
everyone looks tired after that
but still happy with the food they brought back
I assumed this is a happy trip for all of us
^^

Lunch at Tesco 600cc
went for their beef soup rice set
and found out that the price increased
feel like it's not worth to take it anymore

Went over to Seberang Jaya after that
to celebrate my future brother in law's birthday

Last but not least
I did went to Bukit Mertajam after the celebration
because we need to send Oliver back home
and of course we went dinner before we go home

Went for dinner at KFC
which is located at Island Plaza Penang
already forgotten when was the last time I had KFC
@@

Next would be my main purpose to visit Island Plaza
we went for frozen yogurt at
Tutti Fruitti
for the very first time!

8 flavors available there
and they actually rotate and change the flavors often

It's a self-service practice dessert house
so what you have to do is:
get yourself a cup, and squeeze whatever you want
add any topping on it, and go for the weighting
RM5.30 per 100g
and let's see what's your number

Straits Quay !

Ordinary Sunday
we had lunch at Sugar Dynasty
and it's always the best thing to taste on the
Rose Tang Yuan
my favorite !

After lunch we went to Straits Quay
currently most happening place in Penang

It's Christmas season!
so the place is decorated with joyful candies
i mean huge jumbo candies

Giant Christmas Tree!
it's so tall & colorful!

After a short walk
found out that time flies like nobody's business
it's time for us to eat

Dinner at Sakae Sushi
my regular dining place!

What a simple and ordinary day I had today
days without worries is what I hunger for
how I wish I can have days like this in future

Hadyai 1 Day Trip

For the first time
me and boy went Thailand all by ourselves
we drove from Penang to Bukit Kayu Hitam
and parked at the duty free shop

Checked in at the immigration station
and get ourselves a van from Danok to Hadyai

Purpose of the trip ??

And also to do a lot of....

❤ SHOPPING ❤

It is just a 1 day trip
do you think both of us are crazy?
it's a nice experience for both of us

Felt satisfy with it but very tired

pity my pretty boy who drove all the way

1st Avenue..

It's the Second Day of opening
for 1st Avenue Mall

We both went there to have a look on the shops
and it's like super disappointing to be there
their shops were like... no idea
@@

And what makes me more terrible is the car park
I can say due to the opening of the mall
we hardly get a place to park
I don't understand why they can be there for so long
I went there for about 1 hour and I make a move
while we are leaving
the exits were so freaking jam
and we both stuck there for 1 hour
I wonder why

Grandpa Birthday Gathering

Celebrating my grandpa's 78 birthday today
at Yuan Izakaya restaurant
it is a simple gathering with all the family members
and all we do it just to eat non-stop

It's mainly on grill BBQ style
while they also have a pot for steamboat at the side of the pit

Their style of business is similar to TAO
it's a buffet style dining with head counts
and we were also to be given a menu book
for you to order on the dishes you want
then they will serve the raw foods to you

Raw food serves while you make order has both pros and cons
for pros, the food maybe fresh and not wasted
as some people tend to take a lot and can't finish
for cons, there's a long time to wait
as they are serving for every table
so it took more time for the food to come

What I can say about this dining place?
I can say.... not worth to dine @@
but you still should give at least 1 try too la~
different people have different point of view

To me, I feel it is quite expensive,
and it took me a lot time to wait for the food
so, I just went there once
haha~

New Place of Dining

Sunday lunch for both of us
is always a headache issue
till we found about this new dining place

Young Heart is open for quite some time already
but we youngsters seldom dine in places like this
so they are not popular to kids like us

The restaurant is like a home-style restaurant
serves home cooked dishes

We both went there for the first time
and we do feel like eating at home
=)

This is the place we chose to be seat
Tatami style of dining section is available
in case you're not used to it
they also have the normal dining table for you

We are lucky that we went there on a good time
they are having a 50% promotion on selected dishes
this promotion is valid for 3pm - 6pm daily
except on Wednesday which is their offday

I can say their food is great
I feel I'm a healthy person while I'm dining there
and the important thing is you do feel like home

Desserts were in the list of menu too
the one we tried is Mango sago
it's thick and the sweetness is fine
another healthy food we consume again

Saturday's dinner: Sakae Sushi Gurney Plaza
People involved: me, boyfriend, brother

Three of us had our dinner before we meet Bj's friend
after that we went to Bed to join the rest
they were all his high school best friend
from Saints, all Xavarians except me
=)

Best Friends always remain no matter
how far you are or how long you met once
there is still a connection between one another
^^

Bj 21st Day

It's my brother 21st birthday !!
but we had it simple for him
just a family of four went for dinner
and he requested to dine here :

Food below is what we have
appetizer and some main course

This 'pita' thingy is nice
it may look small but it could actually filled you up

Mummy go for the fish

More 'pita' served with self-wrap style
acceptable too, it's something new to us
because it is a beef-shrimp wrap
=)

Lastly for the brother
he got himself a Beef Ribs

We had our dinner late that night
it's almost 12 when we finish everything
so there's no more second round for us
just a cup of take away Starbucks coffee

Though it is simple
but I think he's happy enough with it
because he gain himself a Braun Buffel wallet from me
and also Ang Pows from both parents
enough la, what he want some more

Axon SAP Training

From today on, I'm involving myself in SAP knowledge
( System Application and Products )
as in a ERP software which helps to improve operational efficiency
and productivity of business processes of the enterprise

I received this training from HCL Axon Solution
which is totally a FOC course training
because it is fully sponsored by MDEC Malaysia

Axon is located down town near to Weld Quay
that is set inside Great Eastern building
and it has good environment area for work

Besides that, there is also breakfast & tea provided
for us during the 6 weeks course

OK, enough for the introduction
I'll continue with the hard tine for this training
there are 4 of us who came from KDU as fresh graduates
the rest were mostly experience workers
who came for external knowledge

The most difficult part for all of us is:
this is a self-learning program
we learn ourselves through the notes & slides provided

4 of us chooses the MM (Materials Management) module
and there's only 4 of us with this module @@
the rest were in SD (sales), HR, FI (finance) module

As for MM, these are our text book for the entire training
and it is THICK !
almost pengsan when received it
and it is also so damn HEAVY !

Anyway, it is still something good
for us to take up this training before working
as in I still have some time to spare
or maybe in another word like avoiding working life
haha~

I dunno how this started to be a day for us
we never plan anything, and it happened so suddenly

Me, my boy, Kuan and his girl
went for dinner at Pulau Tikus for Italian cuisine
then we call up Diana and her boy
and they were free to join us too
also call up for Hong Lin, and he's free too
^^
We do call Wei Xiang and his girl too
and he meet us on second round
at Coffee Island for drinks

It was like so sudden, from group of 4
turned to be 9 of us gathered
and we continue with the 'HAHA' & 'HEHE'
through all the night with laughter
wonderful night with my great KDU people

Bj Pre-Birthday Outing

is turning 21 this year
and so, me and my boy gave him a pre-birthday outing

First, we brought him to La Mei Zi
my favorite steamboat place
cause he never try before
and wanted to give it a try
luckily, is a good meal for him

Secondly, we went to Winter Warmers
together for the First time @@
I always told him that the milk tea was great
so he give them a try too
and he really likes it

I hope it is a great day for him
to join me for the night

It's a beautiful Sunday
the boyfriend and I went to DOME for our brunch

We both aren't really a DOME fan
so it's our very first time to dine here
ever since we both attached

A cup of coffee with 2 plates of pasta
is what we have for the ordinary Sunday

Spicy Olio Pasta & Bolognese Pasta

Before that, we actually planned to have Tutti Fruitti
but we don't managed to try that in the end
because the portion of the pasta is big
our tummy can't fit in dessert anymore
=(

As we're having late lunch in the afternoon
so, we are also having late dinner for the day
La Mei Zi - is always our favorite place
^^
Though today is just an ordinary weekend
but I felt happy and grateful
moments with him is much appreciated
furthermore with good food tagged along
that's the best thing I've ever wish for

and the venue for this special dinner
is at Harvest In Cafe

Reasons why we have to dine here?
Because it is our buddy's birthday !
He's our boss, our leader of all time

What you have to order while you're here?
Of course you have to pick their dinner set
that's what people come for

Mushroom soup comes along with the set
and you get to pick your own main course
my boy chooses chicken that day

And for me? I go for Mushroom Steak ^^
because HE says HE's gonna pay for me

But things always happen unexpectedly
Queenie - my boss girlfriend
end up paying the bills for us

I felt so guilty about that
because mine is the most expensive of all
if I ever knew that she is the one paying
I won't be having Steak that night

so at last we went to Haagen Dazs
our favorite place of all time

12 years of friendship
she's like a sister to me
all we want is to spend out some time

15 years of friendship
we appreciate it
we hunger for more years to come
from childhood friend till an old companion

4 Days 3 Nights Trip: Day 4: Singapore/Johor - Chinatown, Orchard, Bugis, JB

Early wake once more for the last day
check out from the hotel in the morning
and kept our bags with the hotel
then we make our way to

Chinatown is like very common to me
nothing really seems attractive there
maybe because I'm a Malaysian
I'm used to the culture and buildings
but it may be awesome to those foreigners
because I saw many of them keep on take picture
so I act like I'm one of it too ^^

Looks like China?
yeah i guess? cause everything is in red
Chinese culture ma~~

It rains in sudden
and nothing much to see in the morning
maybe it would be more happening in the evening
so we make our move to the next station

Head back to Ion Orchard
because I need to get some stuff from Muji
planned to get it last night at Marina Sands
but I make a big mistake
I should go to Marina Square instead of Marina Sands
so I have to get back to Orchard
@@

The first thing we reach there is to eat
we would not want to waste anymore time
because it is our last day in Singapore
so just take our lunch at the food court

I had Beef Rice as my lunch
5 SGD per set, acceptable~
about the taste, I still prefer the one in Penang
=P

While they are shopping at Uniqlo....

I've visited Muji outlet
but the things I'm looking for is out of stock
but they are helpful to check for me
that there are few available at Paragon

So, 5 of us went to Paragon
one of the classy shopping centre in Singapore
to collect the goods in Muji

Saw this big x tall x black Christmas Tree
on the street while we're heading to Paragon

Singapore is preparing for Christmas
but too bad I can't see much on the decoration
because it's early November
things haven't ready to welcome Christmas

After we're done with Paragon
back to Ion Orchard and take train to Bugis Junction
we came here for only 1 reason
just for the dessert buffet at Let's Sweets

This dessert buffet cost about 15 SGD per head
and it only last for 60 minutes
I don't really feel worth for this
because I'm not good in dessert eating
cakes, jellies and mousse ...
they are way too lovely but they are sweet !
but my friends do enjoy it much
=)

60 minutes passed just a blink of eye
not much time left for us
but I still miss out 1 more item to buy
I need to buy a birthday present for my brother
it's his 21st birthday, I need something real good
so I went BHG Bugis to get him his pressie
^^

After we're done for everything
it's time for us to get our bags at the hotel
a long long way to walk
but I did not walk this round
I waited at the Kallang Station
then 3 of the guys walked back to get it

While waiting, I get myself a Old Chang Kee curry puff
a friend of mine told me is a must try
i got it 1.50 SGD per piece, meaning is RM3+
to me, the taste is almost the same like in Penang
but just that there's an egg added inside
and there's something new for the skin
it's thin & not that crispy hard like the 1 in Penang
anyway, it's nice to try out something new

From Kallang, we took few minutes walk to the bus terminal
and by bus, it takes us about 30 minutes to reach JB

From Jb to airport took us about 60 minutes
once reached airport, we look for place to dine
Senai airport is huge & pretty
but too bad it's still new
there are not much choices for us to choose
so we chooses Marry Brown as dinner

After dinner, 30 minutes wait for the flight to arrive
time pass very slow while waiting
maybe we're just too tired

Luckily the flight came in time
and we reach Penang safely without delay

4 Days 3 Nights Trip: Day 3: Singapore - Sentosa, Marina Sands, Geylang

** 8th November 2010 **

2nd day in Singapore
still have to wake early today
because we're going to Sentosa for Universal Studio !

Walked all the way at Geylang Road again
to the nearest MRT
and we make our journey to Vivo City

Reached Vivo City around 10am
and what we do first is to take our breakfast

Food Republic is familiar to Malaysians right
we have one in Pavilion KL too
but the interior were so much different
compare the one in KL

The KL one is more to modern food court style
the one in Vivo City is like Old Chinese Hawker style
quite interesting to me

We quickly finished our breakfast
and bought ourselves tickets to Sentosa Island

It's our first time going to Sentosa Island
so both of us were excited about it
the rest of them came before already previously

We're on our way to Sentosa Island
it took us short time to reach there
because it is quite near actually

Finally we step on the ground of Sentosa Island
and were greet by all the colorful candies above
it's like I've reached a candy land
isn't the trees look lovely to you?

what a cool experience for us

And what I like most about the steamboat is
they are buffet style and
unlimited sliced meat provided
beef, pork & lamb !!
We don't get these in Malaysia =(

4 Days 3 Nights Trip: Day 2: Singapore-Iluma, Bugis, Ion, Mandarin Gallery, Somerset

Woke up early still
7am in the morning i started to prepare

When everyone gets ready
we pack everything into the car
and it's time for us to depart

Before we move on
Sin Ee brought us to Kluang Rail Coffee for breakfast
located just beside the railway station in Kluang
this is the original stall
the rest in KL were their branches

The tables were fully occupied while we reach there
many people were standing and waiting
and so I know this is a popular place to dine
@@

My friends introduce me to try this
The Famous Roti Kaya
as you can see, it is different from the 1 in Penang
Penang often uses Banggali Roti for Roti Kaya
but for this place, they uses Roti Burger
nice combination also la
and also nice to be makan too ~

They serves half-boiled eggs too
but these not belongs to me
because I don't take half-boiled eggs
I felt it yucky, sorry~

Nasi Lemak !
I ate one pack of that
because the Roti can't filled me up

After breakfast
we started our long journey
it took us almost 2 hours drive from Kluang to JB
what a long ride, it's like Penang to Ipoh

Luckily we had a safe journey all the way
and I finally step into
JB Immigration Check Point
it's huge! seriously huge and with air-condition!

After the passport checking
we proceed to the bus station
from JB to SG by bus is cheap
but I forgot the exact price already @@

The bus stop us at Singapore check point
get ourselves checked once again at the border
then again proceed with the bus

The bus drop us at Bugis bus station
then we need to walk to the train station

This is the ticket machine
I like it much, it's easy to use =D
and you know what, it is cheap !
it is about 1-2SGD per trip

While waiting the train to arrive
we 'jungle monkeys' take photo

While in the train...

In few minutes time, we reached Kallang
the nearest station to get to Geylang

From Kallang
we need to walk from Geylang 1 till Geylang 10
that's very very very FAR !
luckily we still can find the hotel

2pm is our check in time
meet up PoPo there too
and everything is nicely settle in the room
about the room... acceptable, very clean and with LCD TV
but it's kinda small to fit 5 of us actually @@

What's next?
we have to walk along Geylang streets to Kallang station again
hell yeah, it was damn fun !

From Kallang to Bugis once more
and we decided to take our lunch in Iluma
I feel like it is a very modern design mall
because the concept looks so unique

they put so much design into this mall

What I am trying to say is
If I earn 100 SGD, i only pay 11.90 SGD for lunch;
If I earn RM 100, I have to pay RM30 for lunch
which is worth to you?

what a nice name given to a mall
there was the 1st time I went in to Uniqlo
I can say that it is larger than the one in Fahrenheit 88
too bad there were all winter clothes during the season

Wow, it is a tiring day once more
we walked for whole day
legs need to rest and save it for the next day

4 Days 3 Nights Trip: Day 1: Johor-Kluang

Wake at 4.30am in the Saturday morning
and Ming Er will be picking me up at 5.30am
because we have to catch the 6am flight to Johor

Check-in at the counter in time
and it is not a long time for us to wait to get us on board

Our plane

it's early in the morning !
I feel so sleepy ~~

Took this when I was high above the sky
the very first photo I've taken in such high level
and the sky is so beautiful
as the sun started to rise =)

Finally I reached the Johor Airport safely
it is just an hour flight
Senai International Airport is huge!
and cold @@
because there is not much people who stops here

Sin Ee is the one who pick us up that day
but Ming Er is our driver of the day
First of all, we have to get ourselves fed
we were brought to A.K. Eating House to have our breakfast
they serve some sort of Koey Toew T'hng
still acceptable to me

Next we went to City Square
I guess it should be the most popular mall in Johor
what I can describe about this mall
hmm... I feel like Mega Mall Penang @@
or Bukit Jambul Complex ~.~
City Square could be describe the most happening place in JB

Because Popo does not want to stay 1 day at Johor
so he decided to go Singapore on that day
For your information,
the JB Immigration Check Point is just opposite the mall
so what he need to do is just walk over the bridge
and he can get himself a bus to Singapore

After we left City Square
they brought me to a place call Organic Park
where they serve and sell organic foods
also I catch an eye on this giant pumpkin
I dunno how heavy was it
??

They also introduce me to try on this
an organic Passion Fruit Ice Stick
quite nice~ and very sour~

Besides serving and selling Organic Food
they also sell some miniature plant
such a green and peaceful place they have

Next stop, it's lunch time ~
we went to Tangkak Beef that serves Beef Noodle/Rice
introduce by Ming Er

And so I tried on their Beef Rice
the taste is totally different with the one in Penang
you can actually see it through the soup
the color of their soup is a bit black in color
like the one in Bak Kut Teh
As for Penang, our soup color is like Brown/Grey in color
I still prefer the one in Penang =P

We also tried on the Pao below
it is famous in Johor
also introduced by Ming Er
seems like she's more familiar than Sin Ee =.='
because she visits Johor often

Lastly, after 2 hours drive from airport
we reached Sin Ee's house
fyi, we're staying her place for 1 night
and I'm surprised when I reach the place

While she brought us to the room
the one that I'm gonna sleep with Firo tonight
the room amazed me while I walked in

What I like about this room is the giant cupboard
I wish to own one of this giant closet you know
it surely fits all my outfits and there still be space for more
it's higher than the door beside it
I WANT !

feel's like I'm living in a hotel

after setting everything nicely
3 of us started with the KTV room
guess who's the most excited 1? It's Firo~
because she loves to sing !

And we actually keep ourselves there for more than 4 hours
but in between, we take turns to take a nap
for example A is napping another BC sing
when A wakes, B do the napping, AC sing
when B wakes, C do the napping, AB sing
we are so systematic, hahaha !

Until when it comes to dinner time
then only we stop and went for dinner
Sin Ee's parents were passion and friendly
I really do mean it, they treat us like their own child

Now, let me conclude this day
after dinner is done we went back to get some rest
because we still have to depart early tomorrow
and also it's been a whole great day for us
it's tiring but still I enjoy the fun =)

It's my first visit to Johor
and what I feel there is ...
it's a little boring for me if I lived there
there would be nothing if you're staying away from town
I don't think I can stay places like that,
but it's OK for me if it's a trip =D
and 1 more thing that is nice
the food there were interesting
I like the food for dinner
simple and nice
I would go for more if I had the chance

I was invited by my relative on that day
with a very sudden call
so my dad and I join them for lunch

Place Of India at Tanjung Bungah
my first visit and I fell in love with this place

Steel drinking cup
which they use to pour plain drinking water
and I feel that Indians like to use metal containers
quite interesting culture =D

Also add on with garlic naan
best to eat together

Besides, we also try their coffee
in a special way of serving it
but the taste is not so good

Having Nandos as our dinner
this place means a lot to both of us
because this is the place we dine on our first date
I mean before we turn ourselves into couple

But the one we went for the first time is in Gurney Plaza
the one before Gurney Plaza set up New Wing

As for today, we went to the Queensbay branch
but it is still meaningful to us
we both ♥ Nandos !
I like the way they marinate and grill
it makes the chicken smells good !
but I feel the portion is too small for me

It's Halloween Night!
and I'm invited by Oliver's mom
to join the kids with their Halloween Party

It is a private party but I don't get a nice picture of them
because they were like running around the place
and when i move forward to ask for picture
they feel so shy and run away from me @@

I guess maybe I'm a stranger to them
furthermore we were taught never talk to strangers
since we were young isn't it?
so just forgive the little ones

As I reach the place
saw the house is dark and with candles lighted
I also noticed the decoration they made
I can say the teachers are really putting effort

Scary and creepy faces around
as you can see and there is also the main character of Halloween
Mr. Pumpkin Head

Besides the decoration on the house
the teachers also do some designing on the table
As you can see there is a lot of vampires
surrounding the church and horror color cupcake
also candle lights were everywhere on the table

Luckily I got a snap on the prettiest kid
she's beautiful, I mean for real
I can say she has the cutest face among all
and her costume were the best that night
she's a witch with a orange basket
where she puts all her candies inside

Add on, I can see pumpkins everywhere
the teachers there really show us their effort!

More exciting decorations around the house
I saw tombstone !! It is so real !
isn't that cool?

Tiny creatures or ghost also can be seen
but it doesn't feel creepy to any of the kids at all

Back to Olie~
so sad that he doesn't want to put his costume on =(
his mom prepare him a Pirate costume
but he just don't want to put it on
too bad I don't have the chance to see it

hot coffee suits me best when there's rain outside

I just felt that the teachers are so creative

After finishing up the drinks
we ended our Halloween Night happily
it was the coolest Halloween party I've been so far
some more it's a kids party
much more fun than the adults party
I wish I could have more chances to attend party like this
it really rocks my day

Weekday dine in KOI

An ordinary weekday

I dunno why HE brought me to Gurney Plaza

we went dinner together

at a newly open restaurant

serves Japanese Cuisine

at first we were so worry about the pricing

but after flipping through the menu

the price is still acceptable for us

so we decided to give it a try

The environment there is nice and cozy

not much customer that night

maybe it's because of weekday i guess

While browsing through the menu

we really can't decide which to order

because it has big variety of choice for you to pick

sushi, temaki, teppanyaki, udon, tempura

everything seems so tempting to me

At last we decide to order 2 plates of sushi

though is like only 8 pieces for each plate

but don't look down on them

they actually could filled up my hungry stomach

As for our bills,

it's about RM50+ including drinks and taxes

what do you think? still acceptable?

I feel is OK la~

Japanese food ma~

at least it taste much better than Sushi King

but I still prefer Sakae Sushi all the time

Most important is HIS sincerity

HE's the one suggested to bring me dine here

I'm so happy with HIS performance

HE's getting better nowadays

and I'm getting so in ♥ with HIM

It's SUNday
and I'm craving for ramen as lunch
but I do not have much choices to get it in Penang
so the BOY brought me to Queensbay Mall
dine in a place call Nippon Yataimura
It's my 2nd visit dining here
the previous visit is like more than a year ago
and this is my first time to try on their ramen
I've forgotten the name
but it consist of pork slice with Shoyu and Mayo
and the taste.... a little not my type

I DON'T LIKE IT!

I miss the one by Ajisen Ramen

I'm so in love with their Ton Toro Ramen

I miss the taste of the soup so damn much

but too bad it is no more available in Penang

There used to be a branch at Gurney Plaza

before the opening of the new wing

how I wish I can taste it again =(

and so I had my lunch unhappily

but still filled me up

After lunch I went over to Quicksilver

to visit one of my friend who is working there

Dinner!

The Best Steamboat place ever

LA MEI ZI

what makes it best would be the soup
it's awesome! it's irresistable!

It was a raining night

by looking on the smoke in every pot

it warms me up silently

This restaurant serves only steamboat

opens from 5pm-5am

meaning you'll get to eat it middle of the night

cool huh! that's what I like!

The price can also be outstanding

because this is not a buffet style steamboat

you have to order plate by plate

or you go for the set

normally 2 person will cost about RM50+

but for me it is still worth the price

Dinner with Him is always good

especially moments that have only 2 of us

though there are still some exception sometimes

but still happy to be together right?

Please appreciate one another

we are not mend to be together forever

TIME do make changes on people

don't ever let it happen on you

or you will regret!

looking for a place to dine in
and as you know, it is hard to find something good to eat there
things tends to be not tasty or to be costly

So i was wondering why not we go Food & Tea
since after trying so much times eating there
foods serves there still acceptable

But we ordered this drink that night
it is super terrible !
it is sweet like hell!
even though we ask them to change it
at last they return the drink is still very sweet
=(

As for sure
we couldn't even finish a quarter of it
it is so disappointing that night~

we went to Noodle Station to had our dinner there
we miss the springy noodle very much
so we decided to feed ourselves here

Q-dees Annual Concert 2010

I went to HIS niece graduation concert
she's turning 7 next year
and it's time for her to move forward to the next level

After the mini graduation ceremony
the kids also did some performance that night
En Chyi is doing great, she dance very well
she perform Indian dance and she's the best among them!

Next would be her brother, En Jay
he's so cute while doing the dance
because he is so shy standing on the stage

After all the performance were done
all kids were call up to the stage
singing their school theme songs to make the ending

After that is photo taking with the 2 kiddo

because there were only 4 of them last year
baby Dove is still in her mummy's tummy

Then it's OUR turn taking photo with the 2 star

At last is me & them!
they look so tired and thirsty after the concert
but En Chyi is kinda enjoy her night

The 2 kiddo is growing fast
I remember when i first saw them
there were just 3 & 4
time really flies like rocket
meaning I'm getting OLDER, shit!

Anyway, I wish all the best to En Chyi in her primary
I know she can do it good, and do it best!

Oh, I would like to start this post with a MEOW~
it's my lovely kitten, Diana Ngoh's birthday !

Her birthday was plan 2 month before the day arrived
thanks to Kevin for being such nervous for this day to come
but at least he really tried hard to think something out
as he wanted to give her a big surprise
though I dunno did he make a success at last
=.='

So when the day comes, I was ordered to get her some balloons
she's like a small kid who loves to have balloons on birthdays
and there's the mini decoration on the table

And yeah, we went Golden Steamboat to celebrate that night
because it's easier to have steamboat in such occasion
especially with buffet style
cheap and good ma~

and we went to Mizi Bistro located at New World Park
to have our warm dinner

Received a call from Ming Er in the afternoon
she wanted to meet me up tonight
along with Popo and Firo
with the excuse of discussing Singapore Trip plans

I admit I was so lazy and tired to come out that night
but she keeps begging me and says it is important

after all I also wanted to pass them souvenirs

Day 3 in Hadyai

Woke up early today
prepared for an early check out
and brought all our stuff down to the lobby

Then walk all the way to Lee Garden Mall
to shop around on their weekend Idea Market Cool

All the stuff sold here were handmade stuff
they were so cute and the handcraft was real awesome
what you see below is a handmade 'piggy bank'
they look cute right =)

This is also handmade wood key chain
nice drawing and attractive color caught my eye
and I'm actually selling it on my fb too
*shy*

It's almost 12pm
time for us to take lunch before we leave the place
for not wasting more time
we just went up to the food court
me and HIM ordered tomyam and a dish for our lunch
it taste not bad ya, so sour~~

We walked over Top Market for some groceries too
where we could buy those noodle and more snacks
their supermarket is so cool
much more cooler than our local 1
I did not mean 'cool' in such as cold
I was saying the variety and environment
it feel much more better than Cold Storage @@

And for me, I make my last order at McDonald's
ordered 4 Samurai Pork Burger to bring home
so that my family got to taste it
=D

Finally, get back to the hotel and grab our stuff
the van is waiting for us already

I feels much more excitement than last years trip
maybe is because we're out from Malaysia?

Day 2 in Hadyai

As usual, I am the one who'll wake first
so that I have enough time to get myself prepared
without wasting precious time

After everyone is ready, we make our move
our tummy is calling us badly
we need to feed them now

Once again, we travel by Tuk-Tuk
the local cheap and good 'Teksi' of Thailand
and we head ourselves to Kim Yong Market

It is a very typical market
where people use to buy fish, meat and veges
but we manage to find a coffee shop
that sells chicken, pork and duck rice

Conclusion, our lunch is not satisfy
don't really like the food there
expensive and it's quite oily for me

Then we get to walk around the market
and found people selling fruits
I also notice the fruit seller will actually decorate their fruits
the fruits is tied up with some leaves along it
to make it looks nicer I guess

Next we went to a stall that sells local goods
this is where everyone started to buy
cashew nuts, cuttlefish, candies and so on
as you know, Thailand is famous for their local snacks
cheap and good

Back to the hotel after that
get ourselves some rest also to drop all the heavy stuff
and also debts collecting @@
I mean for the hotel room payment

Then we're on the Tuk-Tuk again
our next destination is Floating Market

Arrived the destination with all my buddies
sizzling sky with some rain drops

Something catch my eye immediately
saw someone selling sushi in a very cute shape

I bought myself 4 pieces
which cost 5 baht for each
I found the taste is different than what we normally eat
should be lack of vinegar I guess

This stall is selling drinks
you get to choose the container of the drink
you may either choose the Bamboo Stick (20 baht)
or the Cartoon Clay (25 baht) to fill your drinks

Of course for me, I'll get the Cartoon Clay
it looks special and it is allow to be brought back
beside the clay is a pack of jelly
it is something like our 'Ang Ku Koay'
it has filling inside and colorful attraction

Saw this corn in a odd color
it is not bright yellow in color instead pale yellow
bought myself 1 to try on the taste and YUCKS !
it taste awful and disgusting
wasted by 20 baht by throwing away

It was super crowd that day
people squeezing here and there to buy food
I am so afraid that the wooden bridge fall
spot us ?

Next, we found something interesting
a stall selling fried insects
and we wanted to try !

We bought the skinny worms to try
it is 10 baht per packet
and it taste good and crispy
I feel like I'm eating french fries
^^

And my boy tried the scorpion
I have a bite on it too
feel the shell is so hard but still managed to swallow

Another big courage to try on this
it is a super huge beetle
super disgusting !
I don't dare to try it =(
but both the boys fail this attempt too
because it is too hard to bite it
thick shells and wings so they give up

Our next station is Pedtai Night Market
we did not take any photos from there
because we're tired to do so
and the place is hot and packed
it is the largest night market I've ever been
we walked for 2 hours and we still can't finish it

Everyone started to feel tired after the 2 hours walk
and so we decided to have a break
we found a cafe with air-con
so nice to have air-con at this moment

Besides the cafe looks very pretty inside
the decoration makes everyone so happy
and make us alive once again

Ooh my pretty girls
they are not available anymore
=)

Finally is me and my boy !
He looks so tired over here
because of walking whole day
and carrying all my stuff
@@

Before we went back to the hotel
we walked over to the night market once more
to buy some food back to the hotel as supper
I love the kebab so much
miss it badly !

Once reach the hotel
started to arrange my stuff
I mean stuff bought just now
=D

But still I don't feel satisfy on it
not enough shopping yet
I want more !

Anyway, it's super tiring for today
I had a better sleep than last night

Day 1 in Hadyai

After a very long planning
the day finally came
we are all ready with our passports

We have to reach Green Lane McD at 6am
meaning that I have to wake at 4.30 to prepare myself
and to be frank, most of us did not sleep
because we are all midnight owl

I don't see any sleepy face at all
maybe they were all over excited about this trip
so I depart from my house at 5.30am
and had a light breakfast at McD

We start the journey at 6.15am
90 minutes later, we reached here
my first photo of the day with Diana
this place is like a duty free shop
and also a place for you to exchange the currency

Besides that, we also have to fill in a form
it's a card to prove that we're out of Malaysia
that's all you need to go Thailand

Continue our journey after the border
there's 1 more hour for us to reach Hadyai
my trip mates !

I actually took a short nap throughout the journey
that's why I feel the journey is short
in just a blink, we reached the hotel already
the time is like only 9.30am our time
(8.30am for Thailand)

Our check in time is 12.00pm (Thai time)
there is still a long wait till we can check in
so what we can do is to leave our luggage at the hotel
and off we go melepak!

The first thing we do is to eat first
our Thai friend brought us here
a shop that sells beef koey teow soup

taste is OK la, but small portion to me
50 baht per bowl

After that, while we walk back to Lee Garden Plaza
we stop by at 7-11 store
the 7-11 store in Hadyai is like a heaven to me
they have much more variety compare the one in Malaysia
it could take me about 15 minutes to decide which drink to get
and it also may take us about 30 minutes just walking inside
their 7-11 store is so damn cool!

Below is Queenie, one of my girl friend
the one she's holding is Betagen
something similar to Vitagen
but the size is much different to be compared

Wei Xiang introduce us this drink
and seems like most of them we're in love on it
you can see it on Queenie's face
her smile told you that the drink is great
the taste is similar to the natural flavour of Vitagen

When we're done
we walked to Lee Garden Plaza
and saw the operation hours starts at 10.30am
there's about 45 minutes more till it open =.=!
so we went to McD to have a sit

Wait till so sien
and finally the door is open
it is not a big mall
so there is not much things to see inside
but I managed to catch this in a shop
isn't they look cute? it's a nail color
but I did not buy any of them
because 199 baht each, meaning RM20+
I don't need a nail color which cost more than RM10
so not worth at all though it is cute

Then I met Kah Meng in a shoe shop
and he showed me this
he says he wants to buy this pair of slipper
a keyboard-shaped slipper
which cost him 250 baht @@
everyone is like laughing at him when he bought this
because we do think that the slipper can be found at the market
not worth buying in a mall
whatever, I think we broke his heart that day

Since there's nothing much for me to see in Lee Garden Plaza
I walked over opposite which is the Central mall
Central is like Parkson to me
selling branded stuff in a shop mall
but I found something interesting over there
I saw Sanrio products over there
it's happy to see all the pinkish stuff right there
and I also bought this 'Cinnamon Roll' bowl and spoon
for my lovely princess Yumiko
because today is her birthday !!
"Happy Birthday Sweety"
I did wish you on that day OK !!
hope she likes it much la~

It's about 11.30am, we meet back everyone at McD
it's time for us to get back to the hotel check-in
and everyone of us started to feel tired
so we plan to make take-away order from McD for lunch
everyone was craving for the 'Samurai Pork Burger'
and so each of us order the same set

After checking ourselves in the room
everyone started to talk about Samurai Pork
I saw smile on their face and voice saying ' nice lor~~~ '

The pork burger was nice
I mean very very nice! The sauce in the burger is special
the coke was not in paper cup, instead a plastic one
the chili is slightly light orange in color
and it is not spicy at all, I feel that the taste is sweet =.=!
I don't like the fries there, I feel our Penang fries taste better

Finished lunch
have a rest in the room
watching TV show, nothing really suits us
but luckily they have Astro Wah Lai Toi
at least there's something we can understand

Time past very fast
it's time for us to get ready to go out once more
it's dinner time at 5pm !
we make our way back to Lee Garden Hotel this time
we're having sky buffet as our dinner
sounds great huh =D

Sky Buffet is located at the 33rd floor of Lee Garden Hotel
it's my first time to dine in such height
too bad it can't spin around 360 degree like City Bayview
but I still enjoy the view

The food over there don't really have much variety
but still acceptable
because they served great tomyam soup
with lots of seafood inside
and also good sambal
it is so spicy till I feel like I'm gonna die if I stop eating
it's like burning my tongue off and sweats were on my forehead
how I wish I have a Tupperware =.=
so that I can take back some of it
:D

Besides having dinner on a top floor
we also gain the chance to enjoy the view
especially during sunset
where we can see how the sky changed it color
from bright till dark
ever wonder about the price to dine here?
It's worth! Trust Me !!
only 150 baht per person
meaning only about RM16, can you find it in Malaysia?

The sky is dark right now
and our tummy is full of satisfaction

We were so nervous when we walked in
we saw 2 tv placed on the left and right each
playing blue films =X

All of us started to get panic
because we dunno what's going to happen next
furthermore we're seating at the FIRST row
and there's also a bed placed at the center of the stage
we are so damn close to the stage

I forgot there's how many performance in overall
but there are some performance that make us LOL
imagine yourself what we see in there, haha~

Anyway, it's a good experience for us
because you never try, you'll never know
but for us, once is more than enough
we do enjoy our night and non-stop flashback
keep laughing on what we saw, it actually give us laughter

Most of us sleep early that night
we're all tired already for not sleeping the night before
so I fell asleep quite quick actually
and I had a peaceful and nice sleep
=)

and he came to see me directly after he went home

Her boy came all the way back from UK
just to spend some time with her
and this is my first time to meet him

After a long wait, it's like a year I guess

The first day of Hari Raya
falls on Saturday
and HE's away from me for the 3rd day

Got no sms or calls from him today
he's far away right now
should be in Chiang Mai i guess
and yeah, I started missing him ~

So for the afternoon
I went brunch with my dad

We went to Prangin Mall to have our brunch
i think the shop name is
J.L Gourmet Cafe

It's been a very long time I didn't have lunch with my dad
and we're having a great time there
in addition, my dad knows the boss there
he was also the owner of Mizi Bistro located at New World Park
so we earn ourselves a 10% discount on our bill

Our lecturer Mr. Loh would want to have a gathering
as everyone is still keep in touch
so we went over to Xuan Xin Steamboat at Tanjung Tokong

I reached there late that night
because I'm following Hong Lin's car
we went Gurney Plaza for a while before the dinner
as he wanted to check out some DSLR model price
and also we wanted to buy some drinks
for tonight's surprise celebration for someone

And so, we reached there about 9pm
where most of them already eaten halfway

I was asked to sit beside Mr. Loh that night
because there's an empty seat beside him and
he insist me to take a picture before I start eating @@
so this is the first picture I took on that very day

Finally I started my dinner, I'm so hungry~
didn't really eat much that night
maybe because of talking non-stop
swallow too much air, maybe ~

A normal weekday
where few of us decided to go Ipoh for Dim Sum
wake early in the morning and depart at 7am

head over Auto City McD to meet up others

Took us quite a long time to reach this place
GPS is such an untrustworthy device to lead us there
and when we saw the place
it is such a relief and FINALLY me made it @@

I don't see much animals in this zoo

It is such a shame to have a zoo like this
the water is in green, looks like never been clean for years
what a disgrace when there's a visitor from outside
I'll never come back again!

it's almost 6pm when we leave the place
but the highway was having bad traffic
because tomorrow is Raya =.=

It's about 8pm when I reach Penang
and I actually have plans at 8pm

Me and my boy booked Redbox at 8pm
now I'm stuck and running out of time
no more rooms for us when we reached the place at 9pm

My boy is flying tomorrow noon
heading to Bangkok for company trip
that's why it should be our night for tonight
he's leaving Penang 5 days!

so I went to Gurney Plaza to join the dudes

Him, my love brought me to dinner tonight
and this is our first time to dine here

Wanted to eat salmon fried rice
but it is not available here
the one in auto-city was great

End up we only eat those on the sushi belt

Not forgot on their salmon sushi
because this is where we can get the cheapest salmon sushi
among all the Japanese restaurant

Ordered a tuna temaki for myself too

Ebiko was everyone's favorite right?

And also Tako sushi is one of my love

We took less than 30 minutes to dine on this
we reached there late, almost 9.30pm that night
because of me =(

After dinner, just walking around
waiting for my dear to call me
i mean Yumiko dear =)

Finally received her call
after her friend birthday party ends
and we decided to come here
a place where she haven't come before

Of course me and my boy reached first

or I can say something that is purple
because I don't take brinjal or eggplant too
but this is good
I like it much, coz it is not sweet like others

After dinner went to Winter Warmers again
enjoying my milk tea was the best thing to do
and found this little thing walked by my side
and yea, it is slow ~~~

Snail
I rarely saw snails nowadays
I don't think we get to see this creature often already
so appreciate it when you see them
take a picture of them and keep it
maybe you can show it to your grandson one day
when there's no more snails in our world
appreciate what you have right now

where Diana finally join us

they were my best buddy in class
we always sit together ^^

After that it's time for us to have our dinner
everyone was wondering where to dine
and I suggested them to dine over here
a Hong Kong style restaurant
I like this place because of 2 reason
- the price is affordable and reasonable
- the place is always tend to be empty/ peaceful

I ordered this Apple Green Tea and share with Wei Xiang
but he don't really drink much
because he's not a Green Tea Monster
he hates Green Tea, a lot!

Then this would be my main course dinner
Siew Chap Beef Rice Set
cost about RM8.90 per set
including a free soup + dessert
I feel quite worth for me
=)

After we finished dinner
IT'S MOVIE TIME
we went for Stool Pigeon, a Hong Kong movie
feel bad to Diana actually, she rarely watch Chinese movie
but she's willing to watch with us
good !!

But we were so disappointed to this film
I thought it would be a nice movie you know
because Nicholas Tse is the main actor
how i know it could be such a dull movie

I admit, I'm falling asleep inside
my first time to feel like getting home and sleep
I wished the movie end quickly
because my eyes were closing
and not only me, my mates were like halfway sleeping too

Everyone feels so disappointed on this
so sorry guys!
but I know it is still a happy day to everyone
because we are free from college
^^

Tomyam With Eileen

Should be coming here last night
but Eileen can't make it
I also asked Yumiko to join but she also busy
so we didn't make it here yesterday

Somehow we come here today
with Eileen + Thomas + Kinki
we came over Raja Uda for tomyam porridge

It is Eileen's first try on tomyam porridge
sounds interesting to her
and feel glad she like it too ^^

It rains that night
and the place were full house
we waited at least 30 minutes to get a table
and quickly go pick our choices of food
pick everything that you want it to be in your bowl

And then I saw behind
so many bowls till my turn
we always have to wait every time we come
business is so good huh~

There are more on the other table =.=!
but still consider less compare to my other visit
yet still wait very long
it's almost 1 hour till the food is served
no photo of my tomyam porridge
I'm way too hungry so I ate it without taking it

tummy is calling me again
